I dont believe that Ravenclaws would be mean enough to manipulate others - I think they are more of the silent geniuses type.

Now that I think of it, I have some qualities of a Slytherin, ooh scary. Like what El said about being able to hide your emotions. When I was younger I used to manipulate people to get what I wanted~ not anymore but I was a crazy little girl!! Devil

How the Sorting Hat choses students for different Houses is as yet unknown. But I must say that not all students are exactly in the houses they ought to be really in, a case in point is Neville. All through books 1 to 4 he was more of a Hufflepuff than a Gryffindor but he proved his mettle in OotP.

I would be placed in Griffindor just for the fact that I am not scared of anything. I have faced alot in my years. The only thing that terrifies me is snakes. And I have a story behind that one!
Hermione has always struck me as Griffendor, Harry as Griffendor, but Ron puts me more in mind of a Ravenclaw. I'm just glad that they are all in together. The books wouldn't be as good if they were trying to get into each other's common rooms.....although that could have made for some interesting situations.

Does anyone have a clue to what house Moaning Myrtle was in? I would assume Griffendor because of the location of the girl's room, but I really believe she would be a Hufflepuff! lol

She was a HufflePuff if I am not mistaken. I think it is mentioned in Book 2.

Really now Hnydukes2? Manipulationg people like that? Lol, I still do it if I need too. Not necessary to get what I want, but for different kinds of situation. You never know when a good manipulation will come in handy. oo, someone told me a couple of days ago that I would be perfect for undercover work because of my sneakiness. Me like that grin

I got the trait from my dad. I think sometimes I do it not knowingly. But anyway~ maybe they are put in the houses for certain reasons, either to learn to be something they think they can't or who knows.

Well I chose Ravenclaw because they are smart, and don't care about what insults get thrown at them. Like 'You filthy little Mudblood!' and stuff like that.

But we are not shown much of the hidden side of Ravenclaw. The story much in Harry's perspective.
