i think in the movie the sorcerers stone hermione said that but in the book dumbledore says it. she may say you know who but thats only cuz she wanted to contradict who she was talkin to.

Yeah Dumbledore did say, '"A fear of a name only increases the fear of the thing itself"'. And I really do think that Hermione was a little frightened to say the name before OotP.

Again I mispoke. My Computer SERVER is DEMNTED. I have to use a web Proxy to access this site. I worked that one out tonight, so I hope i will talk to you guys more often.

Plus i just spent 260 dollars upgrading my computer that is only 1 year old.

I will use TR/LV and only because it is easier to write than Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort. I mean come on, it is a fictional character for crying out loud. Just because he is the closest thing to resemble the devil EVER in a book series does not mean we should be afraid to use his name

Locky, as far as your computer is concerned, I also added a new device to mine - a DVD writer grin

and my PC is nearly 3 years old. Best of Luck with the new upgrades.

Anyways, coming back to topic, LV/TR is easier to write, The Dark Lord becomes quite irksome. Also it is a lot in resemblance to Sauron - the Dark Lord and Lord of the Rings - the difference being that people were not afraid to take Sauron's name. But they avoided it as much as possible.
