PottersRealm Ministry of Magic - Do you have it in you?

Hello Everyone!

It feel as if it's been ages that we have had a decent chat together - but what with my life and my PC giving unforeseen troubles, I was out of the action for quite sometime. I am most thankful to all those who sent me those wonderful owls - and also to those who were willing to join our little group of administrators.

As of now, I remember having promised many things on the site, but they can come in effect only if we get the forums organised and the site too for that matter. Henceforth I propose the creation of the PottersRealm MoM.

In our own Ministry of Magic there shall be departments - and people to vote for them or nominate themselves or others for the said departments.

The Department/Posts

1. Minister of Magic - The Minister's position can be held by only one person and the responsibility of the Minister would be to overlook that all other departments work without any hassles and there are little or no inter-departmental frictions. His/Her's would be the most responsibility and should be able to take independant decisions.

2. Goblin Liason Office - This Department would include three people and their work would be to manage Diagon Alley shops - including opening of new shops, stock management and procurement, as well as operating Gringotts Bank - to control it's influx and out flow of galleons.

3. Aurors or Forum Moderators - This position would have many openings, at present 7 are required. The most magically powerful number. The Aurors would see to it that members follow rules of posting, no one word posts, or direct targetting of abuses to one another, no spam, and closing and opening of new/old topics respectively.

4. Record Managers/Content Researchers - We require atleast 5 people on this position. You should have the time to research things and update the content on the site.

5. Gallery Managers - If you are great at niffling out images for our galleries, then you'll love this job

As of now these are the open positions in our Ministry. As time flies, we might add some more to this too. But there are some rules.

The Rules

1. All of this is solely on volunteer basis.
2. Anyone willing will need to send me a mail at Jibran@pottersrealm.com with their volunteering and must answer a simple question - "Why am I suitable for this post?"
3. The number of people shortlisted will be voted on by the members of the site, every member can vote only once per post. So if your nomination gets through, you'll also need to do some convassing from your side.

The Privileges
All those who win these elections get to have their names show up in different colors so all the new members on the site would get to know you're someone special! Also there shall be special titles too.

The Duration of the Nominations
All nominations need to be submitted maximum by 15th August. Voting will start from the 17th August, 2006.

question: only one position is required huh? because i would like to be an auror. but im already in charge of gringotts and diagon alley. although it would be cool to have 2 other people helping me since i cant be online all the time. ok one more question, do we have to start all over again?

We might need to start from scratch, but it needs to be taken into account the wishes of all of our members. So we shall be starting things only with mutual consents between members and admins. smile

if we need to start from scratch its ok with me. i always wanted to be an auror anyways but working in gringotts and doagon alley is fun too.

Yes we are getting responses from people for Aurors and Content Researchers. I am thinking of creating a new forums for the changes to come. smile

I'll do that tomorrow morning, as of now I am mind-tired!

lol. ok anyways, either job is fine for me. either working for gringotts and diagon alley or an auror.

i want to be an auror though but my job right now is fine too.
