My first question is...

What happens to the DADA teachers? I mean, can they teach another subject after DADA or do they leave the teaching altogether? I mean, I understand the curse that Voldemort put on the position but does it mean that they can't teach at hogwarts anymore?

Is R.A.B a character that has already been mentioned in the last 6 books or is he a totally new character?

I have more questions but I will post them later.
But any info that you could give to me will be great!

To answer your first qyestion Sara...Querrill died ( first book )
Professor Lockheart ( second book )went to, and is still in St Mungo's
Lupin will not return, his secret is out ( third book )
Mad eye Moody is working for the Order ( fourth book )
Professor Delores Umbridge ( fifth book ) got carried off by the Centaures
Snape is teching DADA ( sixth book )

Second question.....well some of us think that RAB is actully Reglus Black... yes he was mentioned in a previous book.

Yeah Like Mary said

Quirill - is dead - so he cant return
Lockhart - has had his memory mucked up by himself (karma) - so he cant return
Lupin - cant get a job anywhere because he is a werewolf and was only there because DD asked and trusted him - he wont be back too busy with the order now
Moony - Well it turned out to be a death eater, and plus he was only there to help DD with the whole triwizard tournament and to keep Karkaroff in line - He cant and wont return
Umbridge - was there on ministry orders and like was stated, because of her whole half-breed thing ended up getting carried away by the centaurs and they only got her back because of Dumbledore and hes dead, plus all the students and teachers hate her - she wouldnt be coming back in a million years
Snape - Killed DD no one trusts him and he is a hunted man, death eater and outcast now - wont even be able to come back to his potions post.

Also it is widely belived and even been hinted on by JKR that RAB is in fact regalus Black, she wouldnt have mentioned him unless there was something he was gonig to be doing later on in the story, even if he was Sirius' brother. (I read somewhere, that everyone that has ever been mentioned in passing JKR will be using them later on in the story and that is something she has said herself)

thatnks guys. And i think you are right locky. Most of the samll things that JKR point out come into play in later books. Regalus black is probably the best bet too

ahhh. that stinks. But if he does, do you think Ron and Hermione will go with him? I know it says somwthing about that it the 6th book but do you think that they will rather stay in school?

I say that NO Harry wont be going to Hogwarts for a full year, because he has to find the Horcruxes and is going to be searching for himself and his parents home and such in that year (I believe this book may last more than one year) Ron and Hermione did say that they were going to help him and not go back to school, but I think he may tell them no and only ask for their help at relevant times.

Also Harry yes is the only one to kill TR/LV, but he wouldnt face him on his own, there will be a major ministry battle too, because TR/LV will have his death eaters as well.

Though I think that Harry will be the one to find out where TR/LV is and of course at that stage he will have to tell the ministry.

I think Ron and Hermione will be with Harry full-time. I'm sure they think that keeping company with Harry to get the Horcruxes destroyed is a lot more important than going to school
