Out of the choices above I'd have to say Severus, but the one that really made me sad was Dobby's death.

A very sad topic this is for me. All deaths were saddening - but Dobby and Severus Snape's deaths really shook.

i agree many other deaths were just glazed over but i would add freds death to the most saddening, just because of the reaction of his siblings.

Fred's death was unsettling because for us - and their family - it was never Fred or George; it was - Fred & George. They were looked over as one instead of being individuals. One dying and the other surviving was too painful.
