J.K. Rowling watched the auction live on the internet of one of only seven copies of her hand-written book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
When the book sold sold for £1,950,000, she said, "I'm stunned and ecstatic. This will mean so much to the children desperately in need of help. It means Christmas has come early for me".
