According to the A & J Management website (the casting agency also in charge of Jessie Cave, slated to play Lavender Brown), 17 year old Scarlett Byrne has been cast in the role of Pansy Parkinson for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Kindly treat as a rumour untill Warner Bros. confirm the casting.

Parting with Harry Potter worse than divorce for J. K. Rowling

Author JK Rowling admits that saying goodbye to her character Harry Potter was more painful than divorce.

The Brit author was honoured for outstanding achievement at the South Bank Show Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in central London recently and she told the gathering there just how painful saying goodbye had been.

"It has been the worst break-up of my life - far worse than splitting up with any man," The Telegraph quoted her, as saying.

Amazon now owns rare Rowling volume

Online book dealer Amazon confirmed London art agents Hazlitt, Gooden and Fox bought a rare J.K. Rowling volume for $4 million on Amazon's behalf.

Amazon, which said it doesn't intend to sell the book, is looking into how to share the collection of five fairy tales with fans without violating copyright rules, the Times of London said.

J.K. Rowling watched the auction live on the internet of one of only seven copies of her hand-written book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

When the book sold sold for £1,950,000, she said, "I'm stunned and ecstatic. This will mean so much to the children desperately in need of help. It means Christmas has come early for me".

First Look: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Warner Bros released the first official production photo from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth Harry Potter movie currently being filmed in England.

The picture is Harry in muggle clothes, carrying what appears to be a school book - most probably the Potions book of the Half-Blood Prince and the marauder's map.
